Enhance [he appearance <br />of Bernal Avenue along the Planning Area boundary as a key gateway to the <br />City and its downtown. <br />GUIDELINE: <br />3.1 Adopt and implement a plan to instal] distinctive landscaping and <br />directional signage along the Bernal Avenue frontage from the arroyo <br />bridge to the UPRR undercrossing. <br />The landscape plan shall utilize plantings complementary to the <br />large sycamore trees presently lining this route. <br />Directional street signage should reflect Bernal Avenue as a key <br />route to the downtown and a gateway to the South Livermore <br />viticulture region. <br />6-13 <br />
