198
CLERK'S CERTIFICATE
I; Margaret L. Conner, City Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution is a full, true and correct copy of a Resolution duly adopted at
a meeting of the City Council of said Town of Pleasanton, duly and regularly held as
provided by law at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 24th day of March, 1953,
of which meeting all the members thereof had due notice and at which the majority
thereof was present; that at said meeting said Resolution was introduced by Councilman
Hewitson and read in full and was thereupon upon motion of Councilman Hewitson, seconded
by Councilman Cairo, and adopted by the following votes of members of said City Council
of the Town of Pleasanton, viz:
AYES: Councilmen Abrott, Cairo, Hansen, Hewitson and Trimingham
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
That I have ccarefully compared the same with the original Minutes of said meeting
on file and of record in my office and that said Resolution is a full, true and correct
copy of the original Resolution adopted at said meeting and entered in Book 5 of Minutes
at Pages 196 to 198,inclusive; that said Resolution has not been amended, modified or
rescinded since the date of its adoption and that the same is now in full force and effect.
WTITNESS my hadd and seal this 24th day of March, 1953,
City Clerk f the Town of Pleasanton
Attorney White.was instructed to proceed with the necessary requirements for the adver-
tising and issuance of bonds to finance the reservoir.
Mayor Trimingham spoke to Attorney Mite regarding the difference in the:two appraisals
received on the George Andrews' property the Town wishes to purchase for the reservoir
site. It was the opinion of Attorney White that the Council should negotiate with Mr.
Andrews for a fair price; therefore, Mr. Oxsen was directed to invite Mr. Andrews to the
next meeting to be held April 6th.
Mayor Trimingham gave a report on th.e meeting held March 18th with the Pleasanton
Sunol water users and Supervisor Stanley and Mr. Olof E. Anderson, of the Alameda County
Surveyors' Office. Attorney William A. Gale, Jr. appeared before the Council this evening
on behalf of the Pleasanton Sunol water users as they had consulted him regarding the
formation of a corporation or district, inasmuch as the County would not issue work
permits to individuals. Attorney Gale suggested that it might be advisable for the Town
to take over the installation of a new line at the expense of the users. Insofar as
maintenance of the line is concerned, the cost could be handled either by pro- ration
or by an increase of the minimum charge to the Sunol Group users. After considerable
discussion, it was decided that Attorney Gale should meet with City Attorney White in an
effort to draw up an agreement favorable to both the Pleasanton Sunol Group and the Town
of Pleasanton. On motion of Councilman Hewitson, seconded by Councilman Abrott, and
approved by all Councilmen present, Mayor Trimingham signed the application for permit
for the County to dig the ditch for the new line at a cost of w45.00. This amount
is to be reimbursed by the Pleasanton Sunol Group.
Mr. Ernie Bernard was present at this meeting to request a donation from the Council,
which would assist in the purchasing of equipment for the Boys' Club that the Native
Sons are forming. On motion of Councilman Cairo, seconded by Councilman Hewitson, and
approved by all Councilmen present, the Council agreed to give a letter of assurance
that bills, to the amount of 000.00, will be paid when presented.
COi CATIONS
3 Jacuzzi Bros., Inc.
3 -20 -53 Jacuzzi Bros., Inc.
3 -12 -53 Engineer Goodridge
3 -18 -53 City of Santa Rosa
3 County Planning Commission
3 League of Calif.
