Recycled Water Transmission System – The DERWA pumping, pipeline and
storage facilities that receive Recycled Water from the Recycled Water
Treatment Facility, and which DERWA now uses to deliver Recycled Water to
the District's and EBMUD's respective Recycled Water Distribution Systems,
and which in the future will also deliver Recycled Water to the City's Recycled
Water Distribution System in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and
the City-DERWA Agreement.
i. Recycled Water Distribution System – The various District, EBMUD, and, in
the future, City pipelines that convey Recycled Water from the Recycled Water
Transmission System to the respective end-user customers of each retail
agency.
j. Use of Secondary Effluent. The Parties shall maximize the recycling of
Secondary Effluent produced by the Regional Sewerage Facilities for beneficial
use.
