City shall install an appropriate flow meter on the Sunol <br /> Interceptor line and shall maintain this meter and the existing meters <br /> on the Highland Oaks line and the West Pleasanton line at City's cost. <br /> In the event any additional lines are constructed to convey sewage <br /> from City to the District's Plant, City shall install and maintain <br /> appropriate flow meters on those lines. District shall maintain the <br /> existing meter on the East Amador line. <br /> City shall monitor and record flows at appropriate time intervals <br /> on the Sunol Interceptor line, the West Pleasanton line and any future <br /> lines from City to District's Plant and shall provide District with <br /> records of said flows. District shall monitor and record flows at <br /> appropriate time intervals on the Highland Oaks line and the East <br /> Amador line and shall provide City with records of said flows. <br /> City's responsibilities per this section and ownership rights in- <br /> clude that portion of City's sewage collection system within City's <br /> corporate boundaries and any collection facilities within the physical <br /> boundaries of District's Plant site (including portions of the Highland <br /> Oaks, West Pleasanton and Sunol Interceptor lines) to the headworks <br /> of District's Plant. City's responsibilities shall further extend to <br /> lands within its sewer area, but outside its corporate limits as des- <br /> cribed in Section 6.b. hereof. City's responsibilities and ownership <br /> rights do not include District's headworks, any facilities related <br /> to the U.S. Army Camp Parks System, the main trunk sewer connecting <br /> District's collection system to the District's Plant, or the pump <br /> station and meter on the East Amador line. <br /> District shall retain ownership of and responsibility for the <br /> operation and maintenance of the sewage collection system located <br /> -15- <br />
