WHEREAS, James R. Walker, City Manager, has notified the <br />City Council of his plans to retire effective <br />December 31, 1989; and <br />WHEREAS, Ralph Andersen and Associates has been hired to <br />recruit a new City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, it is expected that the recruitment and appointment <br />process may not be completed until approximately <br />March 1, 1990. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does <br />hereby appoint Steven R.
