TERM. This agreement shall be effective concurrent with
Ordinance No. 500, until June 7, 1972. Both parties by mutual
agreement executed at least ninety (90) days prior to the termina-
tion of this contract, may extend the agreement for a period of
five (5) years.
7. PREPARATION OF REFUSE. The City shall require each and
every person in possession, charge or control of any residential
unit or commercial facility where refuse collection is required to
keep or cause to be kept all refuse in suitable and sufficient
water —tight cans or receptacles. These receptacles shall be suf-
ficiently adequate to contain the amount of garbage and waste
matter ordinarily accumulating during the intervals between col-
lections. Such cans or receptacles in the case of residential
units shall be not more than the standard thirty (30) gallon
capacity. The City shall require that all refuse shall be placed
in said cans, unless otherwise provided by ordinance, agreement
or resolution. Receptacles shall be required to be kept in a
sanitary condition by the owner and shall be covered to prevent
access of flies to the contents thereof.
8. TRUCKS. Collector agrees that all refuse shall be col-
lected in all -steel bodied motor trucks and taken to the dump in
a manner so as not to be offensive or filthy in relation to any
person, place, building or highway. The bodies of said trucks
shall be washed at least weekly and shall be kept well painted.
Each truck shall be equipped with a tarpaulin or suitable covering
such as will cover the full load of the truck.
-3-
