Battalion Chiefs <br /> <br />The union, having been infomed of the city~s intention to estab- <br />lish the management classification of fire battalion chief and to <br />reclassify the three present fire captains to said classification; <br />agrees that the battalion chief is amanagement classification and <br />thus excluded from the baPgalning unit Pepresented by IAFF Local <br />197q. <br /> <br />2. Lieutenants Position <br /> <br />It is the eity's intention to fill the vacancies in the lieutenants <br />classification promptly but no later than Januaz~t 1, 1985'. <br /> <br />3. Overtime <br /> <br />Representatives of both the union and the department will continue <br />to discuss the procedures used to assign overtime in an effort to <br />improve them. <br /> <br /> Sincerely ~ <br />~es R.
