From: dons iin
To: lanice Stern
Subject: regarding the 4 options for the East Pleasanton planning for high density
Date: Tuesday,June 11,2013 12:13:28 PM
Dear Ms. Stern:
I am a resident of Ironwood Community of Pleasanton, and I am writing to speak out my
concerns regarding the 4 options for the East Pleasanton planning for high density housing.
Alternative 1 is the only option that I believe is fair and has the least impact on our
neighborhood and health of the city. Other 3 alternatives are taking away the reasons
why we move to Pleasanton.
• Higher density housing should be balanced across the whole city to meet needs.
• Our neighborhood is taking a big rule right now to support senior housing and active
adults (over 55 years old) community.
• 3 of the options also create a community where nearly 3/4ths of the housing units are
in higher density multi story buildings. This creates a community just the opposite of
the rest of Pleasanton and can negatively impact schools, services and property values
in city. This is not healthy.
• The east side, as new blood to Pleasanton, provides a great opportunity to create a new
community—this should be protected and matched our city standard.
• We should insure we also extend El Charro road to Stanley so traffic does not
overburden existing neighborhoods. A lot of people use Stanley instead of 1580 to
avoid traffic when they pass Pleasanton.
Thank you fro your consideration.
Best regards,
Jin Dong (M.D., PhD)
Click here to report this email as spam.
