Irma Grant
Artist I Professional ( Varied
United States
Irma Grant is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer. She was born and raised in the
Netherlands, lived in Canada and Sweden, and studied in France before moving to the
United States of America.
Her life's journey is chronicled in her art. She is an avid outdoors person and loves to
travel to far away places that are pristine and untouched by outside influences. While
backpacking around the world, she kept an artistic journal of the people and the places
that inspired her. Visiting temples and churches, sleeping in palaces and mud huts,
walking through deserts and rainforests, all kindled her desire to capture the experience in
unforgettable images.
Multicultural and nature themes dominate her art and outlook. Each reflection offers a
story-snippets from her diary - for future generations to read.
Her artistic outlets have moved from fabric to canvas and now includes a computer
screen. She is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of a silicon valley based
technology company, Ascarya Labs, that is in the process of designing an educational app
to promote STEAM, especially to female students.
Irma Grant has exhibited her art at various juried art exhibitions and her work can be
found in private art collections in the United States and Canada.
www.irmagrant.corn
