The attached
brochure information shows that the city of Pleasanton was going to build a school on the EV church
site. My wife and I purchased our home on Hot Springs Ct. in early 1978 with the idea that a school
was still going to be built. We had a 3 year old and a new baby when we moved into our
home. Many Valley Trails home owners felt betrayed by the city not fulfilling a promise made by the
developer and the city.
My family has lived in Pleasanton for 44 years, the last 39 in Valley Trails. For us and the many
families that live and have lived in the Courts from Lassen Street to Shenandoah Court have had to
look at the empty fields of weeds on the original elementary school site. We want this project to go
through to improve and upgrade our area, increase the value of our homes and improve the park,
landscape and the Valley Trails community. We want the clubhouse, and bathrooms. We do not want
high density housing mixed with single family homes. This looks like the best project we have seen
and hope the City will support the project going forward. Please do not let us down again.
Thank you,
John & Elizabeth Woffington SUPPLEMENTAL MATEMAL
® Hot Springs Ct Provided to the Planning Commission
After Distribution of Packet
Date Distributed: la
