ROLL CALL by the City Clerk evidenced the following attendance: Councilmen Bubics, McWilliams and Vice Mayor Cairo were present. Councilman Harding Mayor Long were absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, City Engineer and Mrs. Woodward, City Clerk were present. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Vice Mayor Cairo. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL. No one addressed the Chair. PUBLIC HEARINGS Adoption of the Central District and Civic Center Development Plans as a Portion of the Pleasanton Area General Plan. Vice Mayor Cairo declared the Public Hearing open. Mr. Fales read the report of the Planning Commission which recommended that the City Council adopt the Central District and Civic Center Plans that were published as a portion of the Pleasanton Area General Plan, as an official policy expression of the City of Pleasanton. The City Clerk reported that there had been no written public hearing communications. There being no written nor oral public hearing protests, it was moved by Councilman Bubics and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that the Public Hearing be closed. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Bubics, McWilliams and Vice Mayor Cairo NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Harding, Mayor Long It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Resolu- tion No. 65 -142 declaring no majority protests in the matter of the Central District and Civic Center Development plans as a portion of the Pleasanton Area General Plan, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Bubics, McWilliams and Vice Mayor Cairo NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Harding, and Mayor Long It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Resolut- ion No. 65 -143, amending the Pleasanton Area General Plan, by including the "Central District Civic Center Development Plan," be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Bubics, McWilliams and Vice Mayor Cairo NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Harding and Mayor Long REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS were not scheduled for this meeting. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER 1965 Alameda County Fair Mr. Fales suggested that this matter be discussed at a time when all members of the City Council were present. 1965 -66 Tax Rate Mr. Fales stated that he had not yet received a certification as to the total valua- tion of the taxable property within the City of Pleasanton. Mr. Pales recommended that a $1.30 tax rate be adopted as was recommended in the 1965 -66 Budget. It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Resolut- ion No. 65 -144, fixing the 1965 -1966 tax rate for the City of Pleasanton at $1.30 be adopted.
