He went on to relate the background of the organization
and the programs that have been carried out with Federal assistance in the past
few months.
Mr. Edmands indicated that it was very important for the City Council to keep cur-
rent in these matters, and he admonished that these programs probably won't stop
but will simply take on other names and grow in scope and financial need. In this
regard the City should watch these programs carefully in order to make certain that
these programs do not become a financial burden on the City. He went on to say
that problems of pre school education and housing will be problems that the City
Council must deal with in the future and that they should be prepared to cope with
them when they arise.
After some questions by the Council, Mr. Edmands was thanked for his service as the
Council representative and for his attendance at the meetings of V.C.E.0.0.
PUBLIC HEARINGS were not scheduled for this meeting.
REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
Report of the Planning Commission re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract
No. 2802 (Vintage Hills)
Mr. Fales reported that the above matter was an informational item and that the
Planning Commission had already approved the Map. These changes generally involved the reduction of
commercial use and multiple family units, and the increase of single family lots.
The City Council instructed the staff to obtain certain engineering information
on the fence that was to be constructed so that the Council could examine the
situation in the field at their own convenience.
