Why would Costco demand to
burden Pleasanton taxpayers with such a huge amount when it is Costco who will benefit the most with this deal?
We already have two Costco locations within 10 mile radius of Pleasanton. What is adding another Costco in Pleasanton
going to do for the residents?Addition of Costco will have a huge impact on traffic on Stoneridge Drive exit and
surrounding area. As is, Stoneridge Drive, close to Johnson Drive, is quite congested in the mornings and around 4 pm to
6 pm. Add Costco traffic to it and it will be quite a chaos. If Costco comes to Pleasanton, how long will it be before the city
will break even and start making profit on taxes from Costco?
I hope the City Council will take a long and hard look to decide why the City and residents of Pleasanton should be
burdened with many millions of dollars on infrastructure when the only winner seems to be Costco.
1
