resources are present on the project site. The drainage channel south of the project site is outside
of the project's disturbance boundary and would not be affected by the proposed project.
(v) Sensitive Plant Communities
Sensitive plant communities are communities that are of limited distribution statewide or within
a county or region and are often vulnerable to environmental effects of projects. These
communities may or may not contain special -status species or their habitat. The most current
version of CDFW's List of California Terrestrial Natural Communities indicates which natural
communities are of special -status given the current state of the California classification. As
previously discussed, the project site is developed as a park/athletic fields. Therefore, no
sensitive plant communities are present.
(vi) Wildlife Movement Corridors
Wildlife corridors are described as pathways or habitat linkages that connect discrete areas of
natural open space otherwise separated or fragmented by topography, changes in vegetation, and
other natural or manmade obstacles such as urbanization. The project site is in a developed area
and is bordered on all sides by commercial and/or residential development. Therefore, the
project site does not link areas of open space and would not serve as part of a terrestrial wildlife
movement corridor. Given the above, the proposed project would not substantially interfere with
the local or regional movement of wildlife species.
Thank you for the opportunity to assist with this project.
