Does Bishop Ranch pay Tri-Valley Transportation fees?
a. Staff response — Staff contacted the City of San Ramon to determine if
Tri-Valley Transportation Fees are waived for Bishop Ranch projects. San
Ramon staff does not waive Tri-Valley Transportation fees for Bishop
Ranch projects. San Ramon cited the most recent Bishop Ranch City
Center project in which developers are paying the TVTC fees.
19. Hotel/Motel Affordable Housing fee should be higher than office.
a. Staff response — Employment density for hotel/motel uses is lower than
office uses. This offsets the generally higher proportion of lower income
workers in this category.
20.Wants the City to compare revenues derived from development impact fees to
tax revenues generated by the development.
a. Staff response — we do that on a project by project basis and expect to
continue to do so.
21. Determine fees based on where the City wants to have increased development
to encourage that development — hotels? retail? Housing?
a. Staff response — Staff does not have a policy basis for making
assumptions like this. The Study is based on General Plan build-out,
which is the City's adopted policy document for making decisions related
to land use.
22. Can we find out whether neighboring cities are updating their fees in the near
future?
