From: Melissa Gonzales
Sent: Friday, August 23, 2019 5:15 PM
To: Mayor and City Council ;Jerry Thorne ;Karla Brown ;Kathy Narum ;Jerry Pentin ;Julie Testa ;Subject: Support for
Limitless Axes
To Whom it may concern,
Axe throwing has gained popularity over the last few years with many major cities having an axe throwing lounge and
axe throwing leagues. I recently had the pleasure of visiting one of the lounges for my birthday.
The axe throwing lounge I visited also had food and beer/wine available for purchase much like the proposed Pleasanton
lounge. There was a coach dedicated to our lane who walked us through safety procedures, gave us a lesson on axe
throwing, then gave us periodic throwing tips. It was made clear during our session that if any of us showed signs of
intoxication that our session would be cancelled.
We had a fantastic time and never felt in danger, out of control, or that the staff didn't have control over the whole
facility.
A axe lounge would be a fantastic addition to the Tri -Valley, bring in revenue, and offer residents a fun and special thing
to do!
Melissa Gonzales-Rowen
Sent from my iPhone
