AGREEMENT FOR <br /> <br />FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENt, made and entered into this /I day of ~, <br />1987, by and between the COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> <br />"County" and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, hereinafter referred to as the "City." <br /> <br />WITNESSETH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County is desirous of contracting with the City for the <br />performance of fire protection services within the boundaries of the County <br />Service Areas "Remon", F 1964-1; "Castlewood", F 1965-1; and "Happy Valley", <br />F 1965-2; hereinafter referred to as the "County Service Areas"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such contracts are authorized by Government Code Section 55632; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is aqreed as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. SCOPE. (a) The City aqrees to provide fire protection services <br />within the County Service Areas. <br /> <br /> (b) The City's Fire Department shall respond within the County Service <br />Areas in the same manner, using the same procedures, and providing to the <br />extent possible the same kind of services as are provided within the City. <br /> <br /> 2. PAYMENT. (a) For fiscal year 1986-87 one lump sum payment will be <br />made August 7, 1987. For each subsequent fiscal year the County will pay the <br />City in two equal payments payable December 1 and June 1 of the fiscal year in <br /> <br />which services are rendered. <br /> <br /> <br />
