<br /> $1,200.00-Funds will be used to create an educational video module to show and tell the fundamentals of the ESY Composting,

<br /> implement green cleaning and source reduction practices by changing products and practices utilized by custodial staff.
<br /> Mini-Grant#:20-26 San Lorenzo Unified School District,Facilitating Waste Reduction through Improved Recycling,
<br /> Composting and Food Recovery in the San Lorenzo School District,Castro Valley,West County,$3,000.00-Funds will be used
<br /> to continue outreach to the elementary,middle and high schools in the San Lorenzo School District,which will help further develop
<br /> best practices in waste reduction and resource recovery.
<br /> The total 2020 Expenditure Plan budget of$100,000 for Mini-Grants was approved by the Board along with the option to
<br /> carry over all unexpended funds from previous grant years and expend if necessary. A total of$65,605.00 in Mini-Grants was
<br /> approved.

<br /> The Education Advisory Board awarded 15 Project Grants to the following projects:

<br /> $5,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to continue providing food assistance and low-cost clothing and household items via the
<br /> TCV Marketplace,TCV Mobile Pantry,Bag Lunch Program and Thrift Store.
<br /> Project Grant#:20-28 Emery Unified School District,Young Lionesses Green Team,Emeryville,West County,$5,000.00-
<br /> Funds from this grant will be used to help pilot the Young Lionesses Program,by hiring a part time woman to mentor and lead the
<br /> young girls Green Team.
<br /> Project Grant#:20-29 RRRcomputer.org,Inc.,From landfills to Learners: Closing the Digital Divide and Reducing E-waste in
<br /> Alameda County Landfills,Oakland,West County,$15,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to increase the number of
<br /> computers donated by Bay Area companies,refurbish and upgrade 60 laptops,and teach 10-15 hours of basic coding and computer
<br /> literacy skills courses in Oakland Unified School District.
