CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be accepted by the City Clerk, <br />City of Pleasanton, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California 94566, for <br />the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation and services for the <br />construction of the project entitled: <br /> <br />OFF-SITE STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, SENIOR HOUSING, PROJECT NO. 86-11 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON, ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Each bid i~ to be in accordance with the plans and specifications, copies of <br />which may be obtained from the City Engineer, 200 Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, <br />California, 94566, upon receipt of $20 per set with no refund. <br /> <br />Each proposal shall be made on the form provided by the City Engineer and each <br />proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check in the <br />amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Clerk of the City of <br />Pleasanton, or a bond for that amount and so payable. Proposals shall be in a <br />sealed envelope entitled "ACFC & WCD Zone 7, Lines B-2-3 & B-2-4 Improvements" <br />and filed with the City Clerk at 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, <br />on or before: <br /> <br />2:00 P.M., 1986 <br /> <br />at which time the bids will be opened at 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, <br />California. <br /> <br />The above mentioned bid security shall be given as guarantee that the bidder <br />will enter into a contract if awarded the work, and will be retained by .the <br />City for its own use if the successful bidder refuses to enter into said <br />contract or to furnish the necessary bonds after' being requested to do so by <br />the City. <br /> <br />The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and material bond in <br />the amount equal to 100% of the contract price, and a faithful performance bond <br />in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from <br />a surety company satisfactory to the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Said bidder shall secure and maintain such insurance policies as are required <br />and submit evidence that such insurance will be in force for the length of the <br />contract, and shall submit evidence of a valid State of California Contractor's <br />License in the category required for the work being performed, and a current <br />business license to conduct business in the City of Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br />CDS.1.5 i <br /> <br /> <br />
