SECTION G-3 - AWARD AND EXECUTION OF CONTRACT <br /> <br />G-3.01 <br /> <br />AWARD OF CONTRACT: <br /> <br />The contract shall be awarded, if an award is made, to the lowest <br />responsible bidder within 90 days from the date bids are publicly <br />opened and declared. If the award is not made within that period, all <br />bids submitted are deemed rejected by the governing body. <br /> <br />G-3.02 <br /> <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT: <br /> <br />A contract shall not exist between the contractor and the public <br />agency until all of the following steps have been completed: <br /> <br />(1) Award of the contract by the governing body. <br /> <br />(2) Publication of Notice of Award of Contract and the lapse of ten <br /> (10) days time thereafter. <br /> <br />(3) Execution of a written agreement by the contractor within fifteen <br /> (15) days after written notice that the contract has been awarded <br /> to him. <br /> <br /> (4) Delivery by the contractor to the public agency of the faithful <br /> performance and labor and materials bonds required herein. <br /> Contractor shall execute a written agreement with the public agency in <br /> substantially the form set forth herein. <br /> <br />CDS.1.6 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
