3-05 <br /> <br />Measurement and Payment. The quantity to be paid for will be the number <br />of cubic yards of earth excavated to the lines and grades shown for the <br />channel cross-section, including excavation to subgrade for gravel <br />roadways and for the placement of filter blanket where rip-rap is to be <br />placed. <br /> <br />Payment will be made at the contract unit price per cubic yard for <br />excavation and shall include payment for excavating the channel, roadway <br />to subgrade, and roadside ditches and for sloping, shaping, hauling, <br />depositing, spreading, and c~pacting the material in place, preparing <br />the subgrade, disposal of excess material and grading areas adjacent to <br />the project as shown on the plans. No separate payment will be made for <br />embankment construction. · <br /> <br />Payment for excavation for pipes or sthuctures will be included in the <br />payment for those items. <br /> <br />CDS.1.9 3-2 <br /> <br /> <br />
