13-08 <br /> <br />13-09 <br /> <br />Removal of Sheet Piling and Shoring. During the process of backfilling, <br />the timbering, sheeting, shoring and sheet piling used to shore the <br />excavation shall be carefully removed by the Contractor in such a way as <br />will result in a minimum of caving, lateral movement or flowing of the <br />soil. <br /> <br />With the permission of the Engineer, the Contractor, for his own <br />convenience, may leave in place sheet piling, sheeting and bracing, but <br />in such event, no payment will be made by the District for such <br />materials left in place. The Contractor shall cut the sheet piling or <br />sheeting left in place under this stipulation at the elevation specified <br />by the Engineer and remove the remainder from the excavations. <br />Measurement and Payment.
