their dogs, etc. Therefore, the area is already congested with vehicles and people
regularly. When Muirwood Drive fills up with cars, the side streets become the parking
lots for the park. The traffic on Muirwood Court, where we live, is overwhelming
during Saturday soccer games and many other weekends where families enjoy the
park. We don't mind the current parking situation. But, if you add a Cricket Field, the
site will be overflowing with individuals traveling to and from the area much more
frequently, increasing the need for side street parking. That's just too much for this
neighborhood.
We shared our concerns at the first meeting held on 11118121. However. we felt like
the program was being pushed through very quickly, and it seemed the committee
had already made up its mind. Soon after the meeting, we began speaking with park
goers anti neighbors and quickly learned very few people knew what was going on. It
seems like the committee just wanted to push this idea through without speaking to
many citizens for fear of pushback_ We appreciate that now you are providing better
visibility and listening to what we have to say. Thank you!
Again, we recommend putting the Cricket field in a location with more open space
and actual parking. We also believe it would be a better use of the $250k budgeted
for Muirwood to construct the new Cricket -specific park instead of spending it on a
smaller, less conducive space.
Thank you for your time.
Lesa and Curt Frederick
Lesa Watts Frederick
Click h= to report this email as spam.
