I -580/I-680 INTERCHANGE (SOUTHBOUND TO EASTBOUND) <br />TVTC PROJECT SPONSOR <br />Alameda County <br />LEAD AGENCY <br />Caltrans <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Project A-1 was located at the I-580 and I-680 interchange. The project constructed the southbound to <br />eastbound flyover, northbound to eastbound direct connector, southbound on- and off- loop ramps, and a <br />northbound on-ramp. <br />The project was needed to improve safety and reduce congestion on southbound and northbound I-680 <br />near I-580, and mitigate the impacts of local and regional growth in housing and employment. This project <br />was approved by the voters of Alameda County, as a portion of the Measure B sales tax program. <br />STATUS <br />This project has been completed. <br />
