Side Letter of Agreement #4 <br /> Union Leave Bank <br /> Effective as soon as feasible the City will seek legal opinion regarding the tax consequences of <br /> establishing a Union Leave Bank. The parties agree to meet regarding the recommendations by October <br /> 1, 2007. Upon mutual agreement, the parties may extend this time line. It is the intent of the parties to <br /> establish such a Leave donation bank so Local 1974 members may attend conventions and educational <br /> conferences, benefiting the Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Local 1974. <br /> The parties tentatively agree to the following provisions: <br /> • Upon establishment of this Leave Bank and during the first full pay period after January of each <br /> year of this Agreement, each active Local 1974 member may contribute two (2) hours for fifty- <br /> six (56) hour employees and one (1)hour for forty(40) hour employees per year. <br /> • The contribution will be deducted from accrued vacation or comp time leave. <br /> • If at the end of the year, the Union Bank has a balance, the balance will be carried over.
