January 12,2023
Mayor Brown DA
Councilmembers PLEasAN rON
0OW TOWN
City Manager Beaudin
City of Pleasanton
123 Main Street
Pleasanton, CA 94566
Honorable Mayor Brown,Councilmembers, and City Manager Beaudin,
The Pleasanton Downtown Executive Board of Directors would like to address the proposed
development on the Pleasanton Unified School District site at First Street and Bernal Avenue.
We realize this is outside our jurisdiction but directly affects the Downtown, not just the
businesses and foot traffic but also the quaint charm we all love about Pleasanton.
We support the development project that the School District proposed at the December 20,2022,
City Council meeting to honor the charm of Abbie Street and the Downtown.
However, while we would be supportive of the proposed density at this location that the Council
voted on,we understand that it is not a viable option due to the State law taking effect next
month AB 2295.
We ask the Mayor and Councilmembers to reconsider their position on the development of this
property and support the Districts proposal for the levels of density. This would allow for
both workforce housing and to keep the charm of Abbie St.
Respectfully,
dier 1117z141% 121'°14t/--'
Rant Brown— 'resident Bryan Bowers—Past President
CaN h arrn
Angel Moore—President Elect Cathy Denham—Treasurer
Chris Beratlis -Director
Plonefmtnn Ilnu,»tnum dccnrintinn ???
