Exercise caution when opening attachments or
clicking links, especially from unknown senders. ***
To whom it may concern,
After finding notice that gas powered blowers were attempting to be banned, I really began to be disheartened by the
city, this council, and the path forward toward our future.
The one fact of not having much notice of this issue and then after finding not much info out out on it from the city leads
me to believe that this council it's wanting to pass it's own wants and needs through without taking into account who
you actually represent and everyone else's thoughts on the matter. What council that is here for everyone best interest
does that?As a council as a whole I would implore you to do better, not worse than what's been done before you.
As for the possible ban - I am against this for multiple reasons. The first being that I am against needless waste.Switching
to battery operated machinery is not only wasteful in passing costs on to your constituents, but also wasteful in regards
to the overall care of this city. The overall duration of battery powered blowers is far less efficient than gas only(4
strokes) blowers. This is not just a cost waste to acquire, but a cost waste in regards to time, downtime, and
environmental issues when batteries have to be continuously changed out.
We don't need anymore waste here in Pleasanton. We have more than enough and I don't see it getting better so please
don't add on to the already precarious situation. Please find something else that is more important in the council's time
and effort to make better, because this is not it.
i
