This ban would take effect June 2024. The proposed law would ban All gas-powered leaf blowers for commercial AND residential use. This would affect not only any city gas blowers but also gardeners who use gas powered leaf blowers. Gardeners would be forced to buy the inferior battery equipment. Of course, the cost would be passed on to me and others who use Gardeners. The city should consider only banning 2 stroke blowers that run on oil mixed into the fuel. 4 stroke models run on straight gas and are more environmentally friendly and are much quieter.
