Ordinance No. 2279 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />ORDINANCE 2279 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2238 TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT’S MILITARY EQUIPMENT USE POLICY TO ADD EQUIPMENT <br />TO THE POLICY’S MILITARY EQUIPMENT INVENTORY <br />WHEREAS, On July 19, 2022, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2238 approving <br />the Pleasanton Police Department’s Military Equipment Use Policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Military Equipment Use Policy was amended on October 18, 2022 by <br />Ordinance No. 2240 to add a Command Vehicle to the Policy’s military equipment inventory; and <br />WHEREAS, the Military Equipment Use Policy was amended on April 18, 2023 by <br />Ordinance No. 2246 to add additional equipment to the Policy’s military equipment inventory. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the Military Equipment Use Policy to add <br />additional equipment to the Policy’s military equipment inventory. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Amendment. Ordinance No. 2246 is amended to add the equipment <br />described in Exhibit A to the Military Equipment Use Policy’s military equipment inventory. <br />SECTION 2. Severability. If any part of this ordinance is declared invalid by a court, <br />such invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining parts. <br />SECTION 3. Publication. This ordinance, or a summary prepared by the City Attorney, <br />shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation of the City of Pleasanton within <br />fifteen days after its adoption. <br />SECTION 4. Effective Date.
