A regular meeting schedule for the 2025 calendar
year will assist in managing City Council meeting agendas and inform the public of planned
public meetings.

The proposed 2025 calendar year schedule has 20 meeting dates. Regular meetings start at 7
p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution setting the 2025 calendar year City Council meeting schedule with 20
regular meetings.

BACKGROUND
From 2017 through 2024, the City held 19 or 20 regularly scheduled meetings per year. For
the 2025 calendar year, it is proposed the City Council set 20 regular meeting dates.

DISCUSSION
Typically, regular meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Regular
meetings start at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The first meeting of April and August is
not scheduled due to Pleasanton Unified School District's spring break schedule and National
Night Out, respectively. The first meeting of January and September are also not scheduled
due to proximity to City-observed holidays. It is recommended that the Council adopt the
resolution setting the 2025 calendar year schedule (Attachment 1). Setting this calendar does
not preclude scheduling additional special meetings.

EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
This schedule does not impact City-observed holidays.

OUTREACH
No outreach was conducted, as this is an administrative matter to conduct City business.

STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Not applicable, as this item is a routine item of City business.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
