2,034 square feet. The total seating capacity is around 124 chairs (including 5
accessible seats) in the sanctuary . As shown in the Floor Plan of the proposed
usage, the assembly meeting area will be used for adult Sunday worship
services. In addition, there are 3 classrooms for children’s Sunday school. The
maximum number of people attending Sunday service is expected to reach 90
adults and 20 children in the next 5 years. No children will attend church
functions alone. All children will be under the supervision of parents/guardians or
adult teachers/group-leaders.
We currently have one full-time staff, which is our pastor. During Sunday
services, we have 2-4 volunteers from our congregation who help with reception
and media. We have 5 volunteers from our congregation who are part of our
choir. We have 1 volunteer from our congregation teaching for each Sunday
school classroom.
3. Hours of Operation :
Our regular worship services will be held on Sundays, with occasional small
group meetings during the week. Church functions will have minimal impact on
weekday parking availability due to the nature of our operations primarily being
during off-peak hours.
Operation hours (maximum people/cars in 5 years):
1 ) Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm : 2-3 people at the office (2 cars).
2) Monday to Friday evening 7pm to 10pm : 10-20 people bible study group
meetings (5- 6 cars). Adults only, and they are the small group members of the
church congregation.
3) Friday evening children program 7pm to 10pm : 10-20 children and 5-6 adults,
children age 5-17 years old, grade from kindergarten to 12th, students are the
children of the adult congregation from the Sunday service. (5 - 10 cars).
4) Saturday seminars and workshops occasionally in the evening 7pm to 10pm :
50-70 people(15 - 20 cars). 3-4 times per year.
5) Sunday 9am to 2pm worship service and activities : 90 adults, 20 children (20
-25 cars). Children age from 5 to 17 years old, grade from kindergarten to 12th
grade. Students are the children of the adult congregation from the Sunday
service.
6) Special holidays events (usually in the evening) : Good Friday, Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve. 50-70 people (15 - 20 cars).
4. Parking Requirements :
Per the Pleasanton Municipal Code, churches are required to provide one
parking space for every six fixed seats or one parking space for each sixty
square feet-of-room area.
Based on the proposed floor plan, we will need a maximum of 22 parking spaces
(per seating) or 34 parking spaces (per area – excluding service and lobby area)
