Attachment 1 RESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT IN HIS CAPACITY AS JOINT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LIVERMORE- PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION OF PHOENIX G2 ALERTING SYSTEM IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $653,430 WHEREAS, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) has contracted with the Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center (ACRECC) for dispatch services since 2008, and recently renewed that agreement through June 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, ACRECC provides administration and operation of the ACRECC dispatch center. ACRECC currently dispatches fire emergency calls using a software program called Locution, which was installed approximately twenty years ago. This software and the alerting system have surpassed their useful life expectancy; and WHEREAS, the replacement Locution system has been budgeted in the LPFD JPA Equipment Replacement Fund; and WHEREAS, Alameda County Fire Department has procured equipment and installation services through Honeywell International, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager, in his capacity as joint Executive Director of the LPFD JPA, to execute an agreement with Alameda County Fire Department for equipment and installation of the Phoenix G2 Alerting System in a total amount not to exceed $653,430. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a meeting held on February 4, 2025.
