-no answer-
Name of person completing report:
Report 1
Tony Cruz
Title:
Report 1
Executive Director
Describe the current status of your project (e.g. planning, pre-development, activity
underway, marketing, etc.) and the current focus of any activity.
Report 1
The Museum on Main successfully completed its 2024 Ed Kinney Presents season, offering
two in-person shows and one virtual program per month. Across all viewing options, we
welcomed 3,472 viewers—an increase from 3,424 attendees in 2023.
To build on this growth, we focused heavily on marketing the program. We listed all series
dates on local digital calendars, distributed monthly press releases to local media, and
enhanced our social media efforts. These efforts paid off significantly:
• Facebook reach increased from 30k to 47k.
• Instagram reach grew from 849 to 6k.
• Newsletter engagement saw a notable boost, with 11k opens in 2024 compared to 7,732
in 2023.
In 2024, we conducted a strategic evaluation of program costs and structure. This analysis
revealed that, including the 2023 Civic Arts grant, the Ed Kinney Series incurred a financial
loss of $24,138.92. However, through increased ticket sales, a comprehensive membership
overhaul, and cost reduction efforts, we achieved a positive turnaround. By year-end, the
Ed Kinney Series generated a modest surplus of $1,691.98.
This financial improvement positions the Museum on Main to better serve the community,
providing broader access to our programs—especially for underserved populations who
have traditionally lacked such opportunities.
(Reach: This metric accounts for the organic or paid distribution of our Instagram content,
including posts and stories that were boosted. Reach is only counted once if it occurs from
both organic and paid distribution.)
