3-1
3
community PARK
3.1 site access
3.1.1
V EHICULAR C IRCULATION
Roads
Vehicular access to the Neighborhood Park would be from Stoneridge
Drive, which would be extended approximately 800 feet on the north
side of the Arroyo Mocho as a part of the Staples Ranch Development.
This extension would lead drivers along a landscaped parkway entrance
to the CLC project, and terminate at the EVA.
Parking
The neighborhood park would provide a small parking area consisting
of approximately 10 spaces. The lot would be separated from the CLC
entry by a planter which would help designate ingress and egress, and
provide a safe parking experience.
3.1.2
P EDESTRIAN C IRCULATION
Pedestrians would find a comprehensive system of paved and non-paved walking
paths around the facilities in the park. The paths would be located at the top of
the basin slope and would provide potential access to the bottom of the basin. A
plaza adjacent to the parking lot would provide a pedestrian gathering space and
would link to the walking paths throughout the 5 - acre site. A strong pedestrian
connection to the Community Park would provide safe and convenient access for
users wishing to enjoy both spaces.
