It is an expensive project and the developer should pay or
finance the project at the front end. If the City pays or finances this,
despite budgetary concerns, based on a future promise to pay for it,
what happens if the developer becomes insolvent at a future date?
Pleasanton should in no way pay for the extension.
Also I am very concerned about the related impact of cut-through
traffic going through the heart of Pleasanton via a Charro Rd
extension.
In addition I am also concerned about a water treatment plant
situated next to the gravel pit water reserve. This is a very dense
project with a lot of waste water and potential run-off. What about a
open space/nature conservation area next to the gravel pits. Less
pollution of our water and also as a safety barrier consideration as
the lakes will an "attractive nuisance" to children living in the project.
What about increasing the senior housing component for less traffic?
Thanks for your service in dealing with this and the budget crisis.
