V\L- have just lived in Pleasanton for half a <br />year, but have been using the library every week since we've been <br />here. I am writing to express my strong opposition to closing the <br />library 2 days a week and reducing library collections by 50%. <br />As the most used City facilities in Pleasanton, the library is an <br />essential resource for many people, including my family. My child <br />comes to the library to borrow so many different kind of books. And I <br />come to use the study room or free space in the library to work and <br />res ea rch. <br />Reducing the library access means limiting opportunities for <br />students, job seekers, families, workers, and community members <br />who depend on its resources. I urge you to stand with residents and <br />protect the Pleasanton Library by maintaining its current hours of <br />operation and collections. <br />Sincerely, <br />Sisi Dong <br />
