At $100,000 annually It is the least costly of all the proposed cuts <br />2. A significant part of the job is to apply for grants and just one <br />grant would pay for the position many times over <br />3. Not having this position would suspend the work of the Energy & <br />Environment Commission <br />4. There may be someone who will be laid off that could fill this <br />position, saving a current employee <br />5. Consider a half time position which would be much less costly <br />with lower benefit costs <br />6. Climate change is a threat to the very existence of human life on <br />this planet. Climate is changing so fast that our children and <br />grandchildren will face an unrecognizable planet VLm already are <br />experiencing unprecedented weather events today. V1t all need to do <br />our part to change the trajectory. <br />No one wants to see the budget cuts that are contemplated but <br />Health and Safety, including doing our part to provide a sustainable <br />future for our children and grandchildren should be the highest <br />priorities. <br />
