City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Introduction

1
SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION
This Consistency Checklist and attached supporting materials have been
prepared to determine and document whether and to what extent the City
of Pleasanton 2023-2031 (6th Cycle) Housing Element Update Program
Environmental Impact Report (State Clearinghouse [SCH] No. 2022040091),
including all appendices attached thereto (Housing Element Update Final EIR
[FEIR]), addresses the potential impacts of the proposed Villages at the
Quarry Project (proposed project) and whether the proposed project
qualifies for a mandatory streamlining exemption from additional
environmental review due to its consistency with the development density
and land use characteristics established by the City as required under the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public Resources Code [PRC], §
21000, et seq. and California Code of Regulations [CCR], Title 6, Chapter 3,
§15000 et seq.).
As detailed more fully herein, the proposed project is located on a housing
opportunity site considered and evaluated in the certified Housing Element
Update FEIR.
