City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Consistency Checklist

47
Summary of Housing Element Update FEIR
Conversion of Important Farmland to Nonagricultural Use
The Housing Element FEIR concluded that the project site is not mapped as
Important Farmland, which precludes an impact related to conversion of
Prime Farmland, Unique Farmland, or Farmland of Statewide Importance to
nonagricultural uses. However, some of the housing opportunity sites contain
Important Farmland. Therefore, the impacts would be less than significant.
Conflict with Existing Zoning for Agricultural Use or Williamson Act Contracts
The Housing Element Update FEIR concluded that because the project site is
not zoned for agricultural uses, the Housing Element Update would not
conflict with existing zoning for agricultural uses. Therefore, the impacts are
less than significant with respect to conflicts with existing zoning for
agricultural use.
The Housing Element Update FEIR concluded that none of the rezoned
housing sites are encumbered by a Williamson Act Contract, which
precludes an impact related to conflict with an existing Williamson Act
Contract. Therefore, there is no impact.
Conflict with Existing Forest Land Zoning
The Housing Element Update FEIR indicated that none of the housing sites,
including the current Sites 21a and 21b, contain any forest land or
timberland, as defined by Public Resource Code Section 4526, nor do they
contain any timberland zoned Timberland Production, as defined by
Government Code Section 51104(g), and concluded that this precludes the
possibility of the Housing Element Update to conflict with forest zoning of
forest land or timberland. No impact would occur.
Conversion of Forest Land to Non-Forest Use
The Housing Element Update FEIR indicated that aside from Site 1 (Lester), the
housing sites are adjacent to urbanized land uses and do not contain any
forest land. The Housing Element Update FEIR concluded that this condition
precludes the possibility of the development consistent with the Housing
Element Update converting forest land to non-forest use and concluded no
impacts would occur.
