City of Pleasanton—Villages at the Quarry Project
15183 Consistency Checklist Consistency Checklist

77
USFWS, Information for Planning and Consultation (IPaC) system, and the
California Native Plant Society (CNPS) Electronic Inventory (CNPSEI) of Rare
and Endangered Vascular Plants of California database for the Livermore,
California United States Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5-minute Topographic
Quadrangle Map and the eight surrounding quadrangles. All species
information gathered through the database searches was evaluated and
synthesized, and the relevant information is provided in the Special-status
Species Occurrence Evaluation (Appendix C).
Of the 43 special-status plant species analyzed in the CNDDB/CNPS
database review, no special-status plant species have the potential to occur
on-site based on present habitat types and the long-term use of the site as a
storage yard. The project site does not contain rhyolitic, sandy, or alkaline
soils to support special-status plant species. There is no suitable habitat to
support special-status plant species, such as coastal scrub, coastal prairie,
closed-cone coniferous forest, North Coast coniferous forest, lower montane
coniferous forest, chaparral, meadows, seeps, marshes, swamps, or vernal
pools. A comprehensive list of special-status plant species with the potential
to occur within and/or adjacent to the project site and their habitat types
are referenced in Table 1: Special-status Plant Species Evaluation Table
(Appendix C). No special-status species or suitable habitat were observed
during the April 2024 field survey.
The analysis under the FEIR remains consistent with respect to the proposed
project. A project-specific BRA has already been completed in compliance
with the Housing Element Update FEIR MM BIO-1, and no special-status plants
were observed or found to have the potential to occur. Accordingly, no
impacts to special-status plant species would occur.
Special-status Wildlife Species
Qualified FCS Biologists conducted a survey for sensitive biological resources
on the site in April 2024. Additionally, a review and analysis of relevant
background publications and natural resource databases was conducted.
Specifically, this included an analysis of all entries of the CDFW, USFWS, and
IPaC system for the Livermore, California, USGS 7.5-minute Topographic
Quadrangle Map and the eight surrounding quadrangles. All species
information gathered through the database searches was evaluated and
synthesized, and the relevant information is provided in the Special-status
Species Occurrence Evaluation (Appendix C).
