FISCAL IMPACT
These closure events will require Police Department overtime hours for street closures and
event staffing relating to 15 special events (14 with fiscal impact) this year, although
anticipated to be a decrease from 2024. The Streets Division will need regular and overtime
hours to prepare for, set up, and remove barriers, cones, and barricades for the special events
noted in this report. The number of Police and Public Works staff hours will be determined
based on the logistics and details of each individual event. Direct City support can be
recovered on an actual cost basis for all special events; pre-event estimates will be provided to
event organizers.

Prepared by: Submitted by: Approved by:

Jason Knight, Police
Sergeant
Tracy Avelar, Police Chief

Gerry Beaudin, City
Manager

Attachments:
1.
