Exhibit A1 Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery: Proposed Contract Amendment The following services are to be added to the Pleasanton Pioneer: Deficit Spending Analysis and will be executed as directed by the Director of Library and Recreation Services. Deferred Revenue Analysis • Determine current deferred revenue balance o Breakdown deferred revenue into relevant items (i.e. cremation inurnment, casket interment, memorial setting, urn vault, etc.) o Determine initial value and current cost of delivery of deferred revenue items • Accounting updates o Recommend year-end adjusting journal entries o Develop recommended periodic (quarterly and/or annual) deferred revenue reconciliation process o Recommend changes to contract and process as required o Other accounting guidance as required Fee basis: Billed on an hourly basis, total not to exceed $14,000 (70 hours). This fee is inclusive of travel and ordinary business expenses as outlined in this proposal. Fee to be billed on a monthly basis. Tasks are as follows: • Sloane Consulting o Review of 400 contracts – Not to exceed 40 hours ($8,000) o Procedures and Recommendations—Not to exceed 10 hours ($2,000) • Matthew Sweeney (Accountant): Subcontractor o Not to exceed 20 hours ($4,000) Refine Potential Operating Models • Develop three detailed pro forma for each potential operating scenario o Maximize Sales o Streamline Operations and Sales o Maintenance Mode: Stop new sales • Work with potential burial contractors to determine if a more cost-effective approach exists • Assist with strategy for contract extensions and or restructuring outsourced agreement • Present to City and associated Committees/Councils as required Fee Basis: Sloane Consulting will provide these services for $10,000.
