Staff routinely evaluates business license license software products offered by other vendors; none have been shown to provide an equal or greater return for the cost, nor are continuous customizations provided by other vendors. Outgoing review of business license software products results in an assessment that pre-designed programs don't offer a similar capacity to deliver the needed responsiveness to Pleasanton's specific business license tax structure. Continuous product and cost comparison to HdL and Accela business license modules. In comparison, current vendor's (PSI) business license product provides additional features as well as specifically-designed upgrades to meet Pleasanton PMC codes, rates, downtown association district fees, and special reports; no other software company provide this software as it is exclusive to PSI customers only.
