RESOLUTION NO._____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AUTHORIZING <br />APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY GRANT FOR ADULT LITERACY <br />SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE FUNDING AND <br />EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/26 <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library supports libraries with state funded and federally <br />funded grants, statewide subscriptions to electronic resources, and statewide initiatives with partners <br />offering further resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Public Library's Adult Literacy Services Grant application was <br />selected for grant funding, which will be used to enhance services to the Pleasanton community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager to accept the California State Library grant <br />funds for California Library Literacy Services in the amount of $45,722, and execute all necessary <br />documents required by the grant program. <br />SECTION 2.
