Project Manager who assisted the City of Pico Rivera in developing a LRSP. The City’s LRSP
aims to reduce KSI collisions through a prioritized list of improvements that can enhance safety on roadways. This Plan summarizes
collisions that occurred in Pico Rivera, identifies high-injury locations, and recommends countermeasures at each high-risk location. A set
of six safety projects were created for the high-risk intersections and roadway segments. The federal grant funding ($5 million) was awarded
to two of the projects through the HSIP program in March 2023.
•School Crossing Safety Enhancements, Pico Rivera. QA/QC. Reviewing and ensuring quality of safety improvements at 18 pedestrian
school crossings. The improvements vary from crossing signage, installation of RRFBs, or LED enhanced signage as well as adding
advance limit lines and signage. Performed topographic survey for key locations that require curb ramp upgrades along with site visit to
review existing conditions, take measurements, notes, and site photos. The first set of concept plans and estimate will be developed after
for preliminary City review and help determine the improvements that can be accomplished within the allocated grant funding. Assist the
City once the package is out to bid and continue to provide support during construction until project close out.
