QyNSA. NTt City Council Regular Meeting -
Submit your written public
. comment
+NFLoa, City of Pleasanton
Full Name First Name: Todd
Last Name: Nelson
Email (this entry is disclosable 654tnelson@gmail.com
if included)
Submitted On:
Jul 14, 2025, 09:31PM PDT
Meeting Type City Council Regular Meeting at 7 p.m.
Agenda Item Number 15
Comments Please do not engage with Flock on LPR technology. I appreciate your
intention to not share this data with Federal agencies, but the
department does not have the ability to maintain our privacy. Flock is
credibly believed to have shared this type of data with ICE already.
Their proprietary machine learning software requires actual data for
training on their own servers; they will access our data. The system
works by sharing data with other local and state agencies, what
stops them from sharing our data? This seems like a clear violation
of the 4th Amendment. The benefits do not justify giving up our
rights. The City of Pleasanton should not take this decision lightly
nor should they do it on the consent calendar.
