My firm, MV Cheng & Associates Inc., operates as an incorporated business within the State of California, with my associates being sub-contractors of the firm. Having over 25 years of experience in municipal auditing, accounting, and finance in several cities, large and small, has allowed me to be able to lend my expertise as a finance director to cities in need of financial help. I have served as Director of Finance and Director of Finance and Administrative Services for several cities. Most recently, I served as the Interim Deputy Director of Administrative Services for the City of South Gate. In addition to the cities, I serve personally, my sub- contractors have worked in several cities on short and long term assignments ranging from Payroll Technician, Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager and Finance Director as well as serving on a long term basis as contract staff. Myself, as well as all of my sub- contractors are former employees of municipal government agencies. We bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our city clients, with a level of professionalism and understanding of the culture of the political and city office environments. With respect to the accounting services requested, I will be presenting three candidates. Below is a brief synopsis of each and the rates.
