Tri-
Valley Haven (TVH) collaborated with the cities of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton to obtain the required demolition permit. On May 16, 2024,
TVH published a Notice to Bid to seek contractors for the demolition of the existing shelter. A bid walk-through was held on May 21st and 24th,
2024 for interested contractors. TVH opened all of the submitted sealed bids on June 3, 2024 and selected Penkor Wrecking as is demolition
contractor. In the next FY2024-2025, TVH will execute a contract with Penkor Wrecking who will then proceed with demolition. TVH will also
focus in FY 2024-2025 on the finalizing the construction plans, obtaining the required building permits, securing a contractor, and starting
construction on the new shelter. Meanwhile in FY 2023-2024, TVH provided domestic violence services to 4 Pleasanton residents at other sites
since the Shiloh domestic violence shelter not available.
In FY 2024-2025, Tri-Valley Haven continued to make progress towards the construction of its new emergency shelter. In August 2024, the old
shelter buildings were successfully demolished. Detailed design plans were submitted to the City of Livermore's Planning Department in
November 2024. The project went out to bid in May 2025, and a contractor (Quiring Construction) was selected as the lowest, most responsible
bidder. It is anticipated that construction can begin in September after the building permits are obtained. During the shelter rebuild, Tri-Valley
Haven continues to shelter 30 domestic violence survivors and their children at two confidential locations.
