RESOLUTION NO. 2025-054 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE URBAN FOREST MASTER PLAN, CIP 22773 WHEREAS, the City Council approved Capital Improvement Program Project No. 22773 for an Urban Forest Master Plan to identify a management strategy for the urban forest, update the Tree Preservation Ordinance, Chapter 17.16 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, and provide an updated tree inventory ("Project"); and WHEREAS, staff advertised a Request for Qualifications for the Urban Forest Master Plan in October 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved a professional services agreement with Dudek to prepare the Urban Forest Master Plan on March 21, 2023; and WHEREAS, the updated tree inventory was completed, and City Council reviewed the draft Urban Forest Master Plan and adopted the updated Tree Preservation Ordinance on December 17, 2024; and WHEREAS, the final draft of the Urban Forest Master Plan has been updated to address Staff, Commission, and Council input on the draft plan. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. City Council approves the Urban Forest Master Plan, as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto with links to the final draft of the Urban Forest Master Plan and incorporated herein by this reference. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on September 16, 2025.
