Staff agendized the Draft Ordinance for the Planning Commission's review, including HCD's <br />suggested amendments, on August 27, 2025. Following the publication of the Planning <br />Commission agenda report, Cal HDF sent a letter on August 26, 2025, highlighting the <br />requirement to allow for the separate sale of ADUs for qualified non-profit organizations, as <br />defined by Government Code 66341, and the allowable size of detached ADUs on multi- <br />family sites. Staff addressed this input in relevant Ordinance Sections 18.106.050 (C) and <br />18.106.070(A). Staff again circulated the revised ordinance to HCD prior to the publication <br />of the current City Council agenda report and received additional comments clarifying the <br />distinction between 66314 and 66323 units. These minor amendments are reflected in the <br />Draft Ordinance before City Council for adoption. <br />Following adoption of the ADU Ordinance, the City will submit it to HCD for their formal <br />review. <br />Attachment <br />2of2 <br />
